About Saja Soul

About

Saja Soul...

At Saja Soul we realise that meditation and other soul searching techniques can be a bit intimidating, and if we‘re honest...just a little bit woo woo! So taking that leap to learn more about what’s out there can be daunting and some sources are just too damn serious.

Saja Soul was born out of a love for sharing valuable tools and information with the people around us. We want to make the journey an enjoyable and humorous one, for sure there maybe tears...but as Johnny Depp apparently said:

“People cry not because they’re weak.

It’s because they’ve been strong for too long“

As lovers, partners, friends, siblings, parents we all know this feeling of trying to hold it all together when we want to scream into a pillow…or perhaps even at moments hold one over another persons face – hey we’re not judging!

We’ve kind of lost this sense of community spirit where we actually communicate and help each other out. So let’s take a deep breath and see where this journey takes us.....just know that we’re in this together xx

About Me...

40196915-835F-4AD6-9DE5-88EB04593D2B (2)

Hey there! I’m Rebecca - Mother of 2, Wife of 1 - the Founder and Owner of Saja Soul.

When it comes to stress and anxiety......like you I’ve been there, done that and bought the t-shirt!!

I spent 17 years in the corporate rat race, 10 of those living as an expat in Asia away from family and close friends. I faced depression, came close to divorce and had an overwhelming sense of despair. “Where am I going?“, “What am I doing?“ and “What the hell do I want?“

I was lucky enough to attend an amazing weekend retreat in early 2020 that literally changed my life. I got to meet people from a whole host of backgrounds; as humans we all think we are the only ones with a problem and every one else clearly has their s*** together, right? Eh not so much…

Hearing the stories of these strangers led me to the realisation that we all have our own s*** to deal with everyday, it’s just different s***! (Metaphorical and literal of course but eh…let’s not go into that.)

For everyone, some days are good and some are bad...but either way we need to find a way to be grateful and attempt to find whatever joy we can whilst on this crazy journey called life!!

I came home from the retreat like a woman on a mission, me and my Husband sat down to figure out….

What were we not doing enough that we wanted to do more?
What were we doing too much that needed to stop or change?

We agreed on the things that were important to us – time with the kids, lots of laughter, growing our own food, getting time together each week but also time to ourselves. We decided to make some huge changes to our lives, which as destiny would have it, resulted in us packing up in less than a year and heading back to Europe.

My goal is to take the tools and practices that helped me survive, grow and get more out of life and share them with you. I have a passion for trying new things and a strong desire to make the world a better place...whether that’s through meditation and mindfulness, encouraging people to shift their mindset or by simply sharing my obsession for earth saving eco friendly products that I use and love!

I’m an Inner Child Integrated Practitioner, having trained with one of the pioneers in Inner Child Healing - Trisha Caetano facilitated by the amazing team at ReDefine Wellness in Singapore.

I am also a Meditation and Mindfulness teacher having studied under Dr Itai Ivtzan the Director and Founder of The School of Positive Transformation; as well as with Suraya Sam co-creator at the House of Ascend.

I’m also a strong believer that we should never stop learning, so I‘m currently training on the many tools and techniques that Positive Psychology has to offer.

Random fact: this is a quote I love and it‘s actually tattooed on my legs as a daily reminder…

“Wander often, Wonder always“

At the weekend you’ll find me heading for a run (or maybe I‘m just running to catch my kids), doing some yoga and meditation, batch cooking up a storm of soups and granola, curled up on the sofa for a movie or reading one of the 100+ books I have on my Kindle.
